Job Summary:
The IMP Group is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team as a CT-114 Aviation Technician. This is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of aircraft systems and components, and to be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform First and Second Level maintenance on CT-114 aircraft Mechanical and electrical systems and components, including servicing, inspection, removal, cleaning, repair, installation, adjustment, testing, and certification.
- Conduct ramp duties, including pre/post flight inspection and support, elementary tasks, marshalling, parking, towing, fueling/defueling, and installation/removal of required mission equipment and crash and salvage response.
- Travel and work in support of mobile repair parties.
- Attend training for trade and personnel development, and for qualification/certification purposes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and adhere to policies, procedures, and directives established by the Company, Program Manager, and Supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned, and demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
Requirements:
- Must meet one of the following eligibility streams: a graduate of recognized aircraft maintenance or apprenticeship program, hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) "E" licence, be qualified as an Aviation Technician with the Royal Canadian Air Force, or be a graduate of an equivalent foreign military/civilian basic trade-training program.
- Must be able to achieve Maintenance Release Authorizations (MRA) in a reasonable amount of time.
- Basic to detailed knowledge of aircraft Mechanical systems, including power plants, flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, basic structures, safety systems, and ejection systems, power generation and distribution systems.
- Capable of reading and interpreting technical documentation, such as maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints, and Standard Plant Procedures.
- Ability to use standard computer programs and specialized ones as necessary.
- Ability to drive vehicles and tow tractors.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement, Lean, and 5S activities.
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program.
