Responsibilities:

  • Manage estimates, takeoffs, and scoping of MEP trades during pre-construction.
  • Oversee MEP progress drawing sets issued by consultants and track comments.
  • Supervise MEP subcontractors on site throughout the project duration.
  • Lead commissioning and Turnover to property management.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent on project logistics and temporary facility plans.
  • Review and approve shop drawings for MEP systems.
  • Monitor MEP submittals, shop drawings, and installation progress.
  • Coordinate activities, materials procurement, and other related tasks with the Project Manager and Field Staff.
  • Review and report on MEP subcontractor billing.
  • Attend site progress trade and all related site meetings.
  • Ensure effective communication with Virtual Construction coordinator on coordination and interferences issues.
  • Monitor RFI status and facilitate closure of open RFIs related to MEP systems.
  • Verify site instructions received from consultants before issuance to trades.
  • Assess quotes received from MEP subcontractors for potential changes.
  • Monitor MEP trades' performance, report issues to site management, and collaborate with Quality Assurance.
  • Integrate mechanical building systems components with other design disciplines.
  • Guarantee equipment setup, testing, and commissioning meet project requirements.
