Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Financial Controller to join our team on a 12+ month contract engagement. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and guidance to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management and the board of directors
  • Manage and analyze financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely financial projections
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement
  • Evaluate and manage financial risks, including cash flow, credit, and market risks
  • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting
Requirements
  • Designated accountant (CPA or equivalent) with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience, with a strong understanding of financial statement preparation and financial reporting under ASPE reporting standards
  • Strong budgeting and forecasting experience, with excellent financial modeling skills
  • Internal controls and risk analysis experience, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior finance team members
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop effective solutions
What We Offer

CB Canada offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
