Job Summary

The Toronto District School Board is seeking a skilled Painter (Certified) to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform painting and decorating tasks to maintain the appearance and condition of our buildings.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff and other trades to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and maintain a reliable record of attendance and punctuality.
  • Stay up-to-date with the Board's safety procedures and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
  • Utilize computer programs to support your work and be willing to learn new technologies.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Team Leader.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid Trade certificate/Certificate of Qualification in 404C (Painter/ Decorator – Commercial and Residential) and/or 404D (Painter/Decorator – Industrial).
  • Possess a non-probationary driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets the TDSB insurance provider's requirements.
Working Conditions

This is a unionized position governed by the Collective Agreement between the TDSB and Maintenance & Construction Skilled Trades Council.
