Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in the Post Anesthetic Recovery department at the University Hospital of Northern BC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and nursing practice activities within the framework of quality management and in accordance with the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia standards.
- Report to the Manager, Perioperative Services.
- Promote safe, competent, patient care.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Education and Training:
The NH Regional Education for Perianesthesia Critical Care Nursing uses a standardized, evidence-informed online curriculum offered by Elsevier, called ASPAN Mosby's Orientation to Perianesthesia Nursing (MOPAN) with additional evidence-informed online modules completed through Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO).

Requirements:
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- One year's experience in surgical nursing within the past 5 years, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
