Job Title: Senior Civil/Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Olsson. As a key member of our water resources engineering group, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and project management for water resources projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise and project management for water resources projects, including inspection, investigation, evaluation, design, and construction of dams, reservoirs, levees, and hydraulic structures.
  • Ensure project excellence through diligent project management, maintaining high quality and adherence to industry standards.
  • Conduct senior-level review of construction documents, including calculations, plans, and specifications.
  • Foster robust client relationships and identify potential business prospects within the water resources space.
  • Develop and review design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Represent our firm at industry events, conferences, and seminars, fortifying our reputation and expanding our network.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 15+ years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, geotechnical, and/or structural engineering.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in evaluating construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of pertinent state and federal dam safety design methodologies, policies, and regulations.
  • Strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-level performance.
  • Proven track record in both project management and client engagement.
