About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to lead our Trane Supply Store and warehouse facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful management and leadership of the store, including sales, operations, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of customer sales associates, warehouse technicians, and other specialty positions to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage overall operations, including inventory control, replenishment, stocking, cycle counting, physical inventory, receiving, and obsolete slow-moving inventory (OSMI).
  • Monitor and audit product returns and warranty transaction/claim activity.
  • Directly supervise customer sales associates, warehouse, and delivery personnel in store.
  • Perform customer surveys and focus group meetings to ensure customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish work objectives and plans, and manage distribution of work among associates.
  • Utilize HR team and IR Talent Management System and processes to effectively work with associates to establish goals, manage overall performance management, and ongoing development.
  • Work with Retail Operations Leader regarding performance reviews, performance issues, recommended promotions, and salary/wage increase.
  • Build a sales culture, reinforcing parts and solutions sales through coaching and training.
  • Establish leadership cadence for team, including communication and community events to help build an engaged team.
  • Lead recognition, informal and formal for the store, including ongoing individual recognition and recognizing successes.
  • Participate in different team and community involvement activities.
  • Develop and execute annual operating plans for store.
  • Responsible for cash management process, including reconciliation.
  • Work with Retail Operations Leader to recommend potential synergies with other SBUs for market penetration.
  • Responsible for achieving store sales goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market price and product needs analyses and recommend new product offerings to Retail Operations Leader.
  • Manage store operations to ensure follow-through, productivity, and quality in standard work and processes.
  • Oversee store inventory program to ensure inventory levels to support customer availability and reduce OSMI.
  • Ensure required training compliance and conduct safety training as needed, and reinforce a strong safety culture.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in building customer relationships.
  • Experience working in a process management system and priority setting.
  • Must have good computer skills, including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in an inventory management system or retail sales program a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.
Work Environment

This position works in a typical office/parts store/warehouse environment. If working in the warehouse, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes from forklifts. If visiting customers at job sites, the employee is occasionally required to climb and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.

The employee is to follow the Electrical Safety/Arc Flash requirements to eliminate exposure.
