Job Title: Truck Driver - AJ Sand and Gravel

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at AJ Sand and Gravel. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a truck to transport goods and materials. You will also be required to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as oversee the condition of the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Requirements:

  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Work Environment: This is a permanent position with 40 to 44 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
