The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly skilled Field Support Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of our highway infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for the administration of highway maintenance contracts, including monitoring roadway development and ensuring the safety of the motoring public.
- Collect and analyze highway appurtenance inventory data to inform asset management decisions.
- Support development control staff in the district, providing technical expertise and guidance as needed.
- Manage smaller district contracts, service agreements, and consultant agreements, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services.
- Develop and implement creative solutions to complex maintenance problems, leveraging your technical expertise and knowledge of industry best practices.
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of highway maintenance and asset management principles.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
