About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team at Generate Concrete as a Carpenter. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Estimate costs and materials
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Work Environment:
As a Carpenter at Generate Concrete, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a large workload. You will be part of a team that values reliability, teamwork, and a welcoming work environment for all employees, including those with disabilities, newcomers, and refugees.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience
What We Offer:
