Fountain Tire is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Nanaimo. As a key member of our mechanical business, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and completing service on customer vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups.
- Advise customers on vehicle condition, repair requirements, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and safe work processes.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
Requirements
- 3rd or 4th year Apprentice or Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification.
- CVI Inspection Certification.
- Diesel experience is an asset.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driver's abstract.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent deadlines.
- Regularly lift weights of approximately 25KG without assistance.
- Work in a team environment with clear communication and concise decision-making.
