Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team as a Geriatric Nursing Specialist. In this critical role, you will impact the lives of our residents and ignite the warmth of human connection.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and administering prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the Physician and in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario's Medication Administration Standards.
  • Documenting and following up on all concerns and complaints forwarded by clients, family or team members and informs/seeks assistance from the Registered Nurse or designate.
  • Promoting self-care and self-sufficiency among our residents, emphasizing adaptation and abilities, promoting wellness and providing preventative health education, thus treating the whole person.
  • Completing required assessments, RAPS and care plans within timeframes as required.
  • Supporting unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training and education.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate.
  • Current Medication Administration Certificate.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
