About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Changing diapers and maintaining good hygiene practices
  • Sterilizing bottles and preparing formulas according to health and safety guidelines
  • Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Shopping for food and household supplies as needed
  • Washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and household linens
  • Bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organizing activities such as games and outings for children
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals
  • Preparing infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervising and caring for children
  • Taking children to and from school and to appointments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare or a related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Availability to work on-site at the employer's home
  • A non-smoking work site environment
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Working Conditions

This is a non-smoking work site with a focus on a safe and healthy environment. You will be working in an urban area, and public transportation is available.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $30,000 - $40,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive salary for a child caregiver in a private home setting.
