Shaft Miner

Cementation Canada is seeking a skilled Shaft Miner to join our team. As a Shaft Miner, you will be responsible for performing various tasks in the shaft sinking process, including concrete installation, steel installation, drilling and blasting, ground support, mucking, and construction.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, as well as Occupational Health and Safety Act and local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe and efficient working environment, and have the authority to take necessary actions to ensure safety.
- Support and participate in the team safety program, and communicate any equipment issues to the supervisor.
- Work closely with other crew members to create and maintain a synergy required to accomplish the shift line-up in the cycle.
- Ensure applicable procedures and work standards for all tasks are understood, adhered to, and complied with at all times.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the workplace.
- Utilize all safety systems as specified within the site safety management system.
- Pass pre-employment drug, alcohol, and medical testing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Full Basic Underground Common Core.
- Minimum 3 years of shaft mining experience.
- Required specialty modules include U0084, U0066B, U0066C, U0066D.
- WHMIS.
- Fall Arrest.
- First Aid Certification.
- Working at Heights.
