We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to our residents.

Job Summary

This is a permanent part-time position working evening shifts, with a wage leveling rate of pay $32.84-$41.35 per hour until such time that wage leveling ends, then the pay rate will reflect the collective agreement pay rates.

In this role, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide excellent nursing care to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include providing nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an LPN.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, following protocols on all assigned shifts, creating a comfortable and safe environment that provides opportunities for privacy, dignity, autonomy, independence, and individuality, and optimizing each resident's potential to achieve or maintain maximum functional ability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an LPN.
  • Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, following protocols on all assigned shifts.
  • Create a comfortable and safe environment that provides opportunities for privacy, dignity, autonomy, independence, and individuality.
  • Optimize each resident's potential to achieve or maintain maximum functional ability.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Practical Nursing.
  • Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
  • Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS.
  • Current First Aid with CPR.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check. Applicable to British Columbia applicant.
