Recycling & Waste Truck Driver

Peterborough, ON Full-time $25.42/hour

Job Duties:

  • Operate recycling collection vehicle with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Load curbside materials into the truck, ensuring accurate and timely collection.
  • Observe and adhere to safe work practices, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Ensure assigned routes are completed successfully, meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections, documenting any issues or concerns.

Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario DZ driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract and CVOR.
  • Minimum one-year experience driving with DZ licence or an AZ graduate from an accredited driving school.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, with a focus on maintaining physical stamina and endurance.
  • Punctual, reliable, and a team player, with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to successfully pass a background check, including an MTO medical/drug test, criminal history search, license verification, and employment confirmation.
