Cost Management Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Management Lead to join our team at Microsoft Corporation. As a key member of our Cost Management team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring accurate estimation, and effective cost control.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of commercial management processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure accurate estimation and commercial agreement of project costs.
- Review and approve pay applications, invoices, and change orders to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
- Manage the cost management firm contracted to provide commercial support in the region.
- Assist in the procurement of cost management firms and ensure the resources allocated to projects are appropriate in number and quality.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, and 10+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing estimating or commercial aspects of major construction portfolios.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication in both English and French is required for this role.
- 12+ years of experience working on data center projects.
- PQS/ECA Professional Quantity Surveyor.
- Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) full membership or equivalent.
- Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) full membership or equivalent.
