About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Labourer to join our team at Diamond Stacking Co. Ltd. as a Wood Processing Labourer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our wood processing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines to process wood products.
  • Material Handling: Load chips, sulphur, and processing materials as required.
  • Product Sorting and Transportation: Sort, pile, and transport wood products to designated areas.
  • Scrap Removal: Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Work Environment

As a Labourer in our wood processing facility, you can expect a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment. You will be required to work in a noisy and dusty area, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and sitting/standing for extended periods.
  • Work Conditions: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
