At MUFG Investor Services, we are seeking a skilled Senior Frontend Developer to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to help us develop and maintain our cutting-edge platform. You will work with our cross-functional team to build new features and products, utilizing your knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or React.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To translate requirements and UX designs into functional frontend code.
  • To produce clean, well-documented, maintainable, testable and scalable code.
  • To ensure high-quality solutions through automated testing and monitoring code metrics within established guidelines and time frames.
  • To participate in planning, design, architecture and code review.
  • To build rapid prototypes and work on fast-paced projects.
  • To work effectively within a cross-functional multi-site team.
  • To provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • To work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
  • To inspire and mentor junior engineers on best practices and professional conduct.

About You:

We are looking for someone with commercial experience of at least one JavaScript framework, such as Vue.js or React. You should also have experience with common front-end development tools, including Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience of at least one JavaScript framework such as Vue.js or React.
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
  • Experience with newer specifications of EcmaScript.
  • Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, CSS Pre-processors, BEM methodology and other modern CSS techniques such as Grid and Flexbox.
  • Proficient understanding of software development tools such as Git and Gitlab.
  • Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of the fundamental principles of design, creative thinker & problem solver.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.
  • Experience with TypeScript will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience with ag-Grid, amCharts and Vuetify will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience in an Agile environment using Scrum.

What We Offer:
