Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer to join our engineering team in Edmonton. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining our cloud-native software system built on the Microsoft .NET stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using the .NET stack, including C#, ASP.NET, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deliver new features and enhancements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable code while adhering to best practices, coding standards, and company guidelines.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and deploy reliable fixes in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and helping to maintain the quality of the codebase.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and decisions, contributing to the design of scalable and maintainable systems.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply that knowledge to improve our software and processes.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for enhancement and suggesting solutions to optimize performance, security, and user experience.
  • Mentor junior developers, helping them grow their technical skills and contribute effectively to the team.
  • Work with our DevOps team to support and maintain our production environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience developing software using the .NET stack (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core) or Flutter.
  • Solid proficiency in ASP.NET, including experience with building APIs and websites with C#.
  • Delivering scalable, fault-tolerant, highly available, and secure implementations of RESTful APIs and event sourcing systems.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience working with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
