We are seeking a highly skilled Labour Law Specialist to join our team at Shared Health. As a key member of our Labour and Employment practice group, you will provide expert legal advice and support to our clients in the health sector.
Key Responsibilities- Advise and educate management on labour law matters, including collective bargaining, grievance and arbitration support, and strategic planning.
- Support the needs of service delivery organizations in the Manitoba health system, working collaboratively with diverse employee groups.
- Manage grievance and arbitration files, and provide direct involvement in strategic planning and daily risk management.
- Collaborate with health system executive leaders on emerging critical issues with a provincial scope.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in labour law, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree.
- Excellent leadership skills, as defined by LEADS in a Caring Environment.
- A positive work environment and genuine appreciation for collaboration with colleagues.
- Excellent mentorship and support from department leads and colleagues.
