Renewable Gas Compliance and Reporting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Gas Compliance and Reporting Lead to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our Renewable Gas group, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and compliance of our progressive energy offerings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to capture and manage complex data sets. You will be responsible for supporting project compliance and regulatory reporting activities, as well as maintaining the systems, structures, and processes required to execute our renewable gas supply projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Renewable Gas project portfolio, contract structures, reporting requirements, and processes.
- Support renewable gas reporting requirements through data management, site visits, and supplier audit schedules.
- Collaborate with other business units to understand how a changing operating environment may impact business needs.
- Work with consultants to support the execution of business goals.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or an equivalent mix of engineering, project development, and contract management experience.
- Proven working knowledge of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and performing mass and energy balance analysis.
- Working knowledge of energy legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Proactive attitude and strong interest in performing analysis of technical and non-technical nature.
- Advanced communications skills to deliver detailed reports and establish strong relationships with external partners and other business units.
