About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Process Technician to join our team at Schwartz Chemical Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring instruments on chemical formulation units, cleaning and maintaining workspaces, measuring and loading chemical ingredients, recording production information, starting up and shutting down equipment, taking samples, and adjusting processing machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instrument Monitoring: Monitor instruments on one or more chemical formulation units to ensure accurate production and efficient operations.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean and maintain workspaces, including machinery and equipment, to prevent contamination and ensure smooth operations.
  • Ingredient Measurement: Measure and load chemical ingredients accurately according to formulation cards to maintain product quality.
  • Production Recording: Record production information, including data on raw materials, products, and processes, to track performance and make informed decisions.
  • Equipment Operations: Start up, shut down, and troubleshoot equipment as needed to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Sampling: Take samples of products and raw materials to monitor quality and detect any potential issues.
  • Maintenance and Adjustments: Adjust processing machines and equipment to optimize performance and maintain product quality.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the chemical industry.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate with additional training or certifications in process technology or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of chemical processes, instruments, and equipment; excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
