Job Summary

Vista Projects is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of our IT systems, providing technical support and troubleshooting, and implementing security solutions to protect against unauthorized access.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain IT systems, including servers, networking hardware, operating systems, software applications, and telecommunication links.
  2. Provide advanced technical support for hardware and software issues, and act as a point of escalation for complex issues.
  3. Implement and manage security solutions to protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
  4. Manage backup procedures and disaster recovery operations to ensure data preservation.
  5. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with IT team members and communicate effectively with non-technical staff to assist with IT-related issues.
  7. Liaise with vendors for the procurement of new technology solutions and manage service agreements.

Requirements:

  1. Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  2. At least 7 years of experience in IT systems administration, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and hands-on expertise in managing IT infrastructure.
  3. Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals, or similar are highly regarded.
  4. Solid understanding of network infrastructure, operating systems, virtualization technologies, and cloud services.
  5. Ability to quickly analyze and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining business continuity.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of effectively articulating technical guidance and instructions to users of varying technical understanding.
  7. Demonstrated ability to anticipate potential issues or bottlenecks and proactively implement solutions.
