Key Responsibilities- Financial Record-Keeping
- Accurately record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers, financial statements, and other accounting records.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, including deductions and benefits.
- Administer employee benefits, including health and dental plans.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including fraud and errors.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Skills
- Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-40 hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and reliability.
