About the Role

Clark Builders is seeking a skilled Construction Worker to join our team in Hinton. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas.
  • Construction Support: Erect/install and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites.
  • Concrete Work: Place and vibrate concrete.
  • Assistance to Tradespersons: Assist tradespersons such as carpenters and cement finishers in construction activities.
  • Site Maintenance: Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel.
  • Demolition: Assist demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean, and pile salvaged materials.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate jack hammers and tampers as directed.
  • Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean construction site.
  • Storage Management: Maintain organization of storage containers.
  • Additional Duties: Additional duties as required.
  • Professional Representation: Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Policy Adherence: Adhere to Clark Builders' policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Physical Ability: The physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., as well as performing repetitive motions, bending, crouching and/or kneeling for long periods throughout the day.
  • Long-Hour Work: The ability to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks.
  • Weather Conditions: The capability to work outside in various weather conditions depending on the season.
  • Equipment Operation: The ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial/Industrial Experience: Experience working in commercial/industrial construction is considered an asset.
  • First Aid Certification: Valid First Aid certificate an asset.
  • Safety Certifications: Valid ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset.
