About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Residential Carpenter to join our team at Shergill Developments Inc.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring and erecting walls and roof systems. Additionally, they will fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Estimate costs and materials.
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Education:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Work Experience:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in residential carpentry.
Personal Qualities:
  • Reliability.
  • Team player.
