Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced long haul truck driver to join our team at Haulage North America Inc.

About the Role

This is a critical position that requires a professional with extensive knowledge of transportation and logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety protocols, route planning, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities
  • Cargo Management: Load and unload goods, ensuring safe and secure transport.
  • Route Planning: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience as a long haul truck driver.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid driver's license and any necessary endorsements or certifications.
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and proficiency in GPS navigation systems.
Work Environment

This is an on-site position that requires the employee to work from the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
