Amgen SA is seeking a highly skilled Protein Sciences Expert to join our Discovery Protein Sciences group at our Vancouver, Canada site. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and generating complex biological molecules for small and large molecule discovery programs.

This laboratory-based position will require technical expertise in mammalian and non-mammalian expression systems, as well as purification techniques. You will collaborate with our state-of-the-art synthetic biology Biofoundry to accelerate protein generation and support Amgen's rich discovery pipeline.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and generating complex biological molecules
  • Collaborating with the Biofoundry to accelerate protein generation
  • Contributing to initiatives around structural biology and immunogenicity mitigation
  • Interacting closely with data scientists and other researchers

We are looking for an individual with a D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, Chemical Biology, or a related field and 1-3 years of industrial or postdoctoral experience. A strong appreciation for quantitative approaches and a commitment to diversity and equity are essential.

Amgen offers a competitive salary range of $135,000 - $160,000 CAD, as well as comprehensive Total Rewards Plans aligned with local industry standards.
