Fire Alarm Technician Opportunity
Mircom Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for performing rack-up, programming, verification, and inspection of fire alarm systems, access control, and intercom systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and maintain fire alarm systems, ensuring they meet industry standards and regulations.
- Perform inspections and service on Mircom and non-Mircom products, including fire protection equipment.
- Complete and return inspection reports in a timely manner, providing detailed information on system performance and any issues encountered.
- Provide technical support to customers, addressing their queries and concerns regarding fire alarm systems.
- Conduct operational training for end-users, ensuring they understand the proper use and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and support.
- Read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals related to fire alarm systems.
Requirements and Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in the Fire Alarm industry.
- Electronics diploma or equivalent from an accredited college/university or documented and demonstrated trade qualification.
- Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration or comparable qualification.
- Fluent in English and French (verbal and written).
- Knowledge of Mircom systems is an asset.
- Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel is an asset.
- Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 70lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding.
- Possess a valid and clean motor vehicle license (Class G).
