Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at Interstate Batteries. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently completing assigned tasks using a variety of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship) with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Handle products in accordance with warehouse standards (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship).
  • Properly tag pallets for transfer, pick, pack, and ship.
  • Perform general warehousing duties, including restocking shelves and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
  • Be available to work overtime as requested.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in warehouse operations, including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack, and stretch-wrap machine.
  • Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and stand for long periods.

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse environment may be subject to temperature extremes, dust, fumes, and battery acid.
  • Heavy lifting and repetitive lifting may be required.
  • Consistent walking and standing for two-hour intervals.
  • Repetitive taping of boxes.
