We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Hampton Inn Kingston.
Job Summary:The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring that all rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained. This is a key role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hospitality that our guests expect from us.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure that all rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
- Recommend or arrange for additional services required, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
- Assist housekeeping staff in performing duties as needed.
- Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- 5-10 years of experience in a supervisory role in housekeeping or a related field.
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
This is a full-time position, working 35 to 44 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
