Charger Logistics, a world-class asset-based carrier, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join its team. With over 20 years of experience providing top-notch logistics solutions, Charger Logistics has established itself as a leader in the industry.

This individual contributor role involves reporting forecasts and variances, as well as using data to advise management on strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and be able to provide actionable recommendations to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Analysis: Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.
  2. Reporting and Budgeting: Coordinate and prepare monthly management financial reports, including P&L statements, variance reports, balance sheets, and KPIs.
  3. Financial Modeling: Develop financial models, forecasts, and analyses to support strategic initiatives and financial planning.
  4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage ongoing budgeting and forecasting, working with the accounting team to ensure the organization is on target against budget.
  5. Financial Recommendations: Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management.
  6. Return on Investment Analysis: Monitor CAPEX plans and historical investments in each project, providing Return on Investment analyses.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with business units and departments to gather key data for rolling budgets and managerial reports.
  8. Best Practices: Prepare ratio and variance analyses, providing recommendations for future best practices.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  2. CPA (CMA, CGA, or CA) in progress (at senior level of program is preferred).
  3. Education: College diploma in Business or related discipline. A university degree in finance, commerce, or business administration is preferred.
  4. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is mandatory (Pivot tables, V&H Lookup, simple Macros).
  5. Able to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  7. Able to work well independently and within a team environment.
  8. Strong business and financial acumen; able to link business requirements with financial objectives.
  9. Strong communication skills - clear written and verbal communication.
