Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Cost Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing actual manufacturing costs compared to budgets, identifying variances, and providing recommendations to optimize operating costs.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze actual manufacturing costs compared to budgets, and study and explain variances.
- Report variances and highlight issues requiring action from operations teams.
- Work closely with operations teams to understand variances and generate potential solutions.
- Conduct ad hoc product/plant cost analyses to support operations.
- Prepare, review, and provide analytical expertise on management reports.
- Support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in implementing and maintaining internal controls.
- Participate in budgeting, physical inventories, and other plant activities.
- Prepare analyses and provide recommendations to the CFO to optimize operating costs.
- Assist in preparing financial statements.
- Participate in analyzing the profitability of new projects.
- Collaborate in establishing financial performance indicators for operations.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing context.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA designation.
- Advanced mastery of Excel.
- Team spirit.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in both French and English.
