Job Title: Welder-Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter to join our team at 442527 Ontario Limited. As a Welder-Fitter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding and metal fabrication tasks to support the production of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field of employment.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
