About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and efficient individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Subway Sandwiches. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits, and sanitizing and washing dishes and other items by hand.
  • Stock Management: Restock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients and supplies.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and stand for long periods.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Reliability: Ability to work a 35-hour week and be punctual and reliable.
