Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Specialist to join our team at Manpower Services Canada Limit. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to sheet metal fabrication and installation.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and Fabrication: Calculate heating and cooling loads, design duct systems, manufacture and assemble different prefabricated fibreglass elements, and manufacture and assemble water evacuation systems for buildings.
  • Installation and Repair: Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes, repair and replace damaged or worn-out parts, and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Maintenance and Operations: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements, select equipment for residential and small commercial construction, measure and mark sheet metal according to template, and operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
Requirements:
  • A Registered Apprenticeship certificate in Sheet Metal Work or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade.
  • Possession of an Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification, Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification, Canadian Welding Bureau Certification, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, CPR Certificate, Sheet Metal Worker Red Seal Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Demonstrated skills in oxy-acetylene, ARC, gas metal ARC (GMAW) (MIG), resistance or spot welding, shielded metal ARC (SMAW), and gas tungsten ARC (GTAW) (TIG) welding techniques.
Working Conditions:

The work environment is noisy and requires working at heights. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, handle heavy loads, and meet tight deadlines.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
