Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) is a key player in the Canadian housing market. As a Financial Controls Centre of Excellence team member, you will contribute to solving housing affordability challenges.

The role involves ongoing continuous improvement activities related to the Internal Control Framework (ICF). You will collaborate with the business to lead process reviews, evaluate and test key risks and controls. Your findings and guidance will be communicated to CMHC personnel and management via written communications and verbal debriefs.

Your skills and knowledge of risk management and internal controls will support the organization in ensuring processes are designed and operating effectively. To achieve this, you will develop and oversee processes for collecting, analyzing, and evaluating information. This includes identifying trends, gaps, errors, and risk incidents, and proposing necessary improvements.

Promoting and leveraging industry frameworks, standards, and best practices is also essential. Staying informed on corporate objectives, priorities, and initiatives across CMHC will help you adequately identify existing and emerging risks.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a team that views CMHC as the catalyst for solving housing affordability challenges. If you have an undergraduate degree in a related field, such as Business, Finance or Accounting, and a Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation, we encourage you to apply.
