We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Avani Homes Inc.

Job Summary:

The Construction Laborer will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, including loading and unloading materials, performing pre-operational inspections, and reading blueprints to determine work requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Perform pre-operational inspections
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements:
  • Working at heights training
  • Experience with grinding machines, jackhammers, nail guns, drills, chain saws, and hand tools
  • Industrial, commercial, and institutional construction specialization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and maintain manual dexterity
  • Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) weight handling
  • Accurate, team player, and hardworking
  • Will train
  • Permanent employment
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • English language
