Job Title: Welder

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at GMH FLEET SERVICES INC. As a Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, and ensuring that welds meet standards and/or specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
  • Fitting, braze and torch-straighten metal and operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC).
  • Determine weldability of materials and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination. Standing for extended periods and overtime may be required.
