We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual General Manager to join our team at Opal Corporate Connections. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our utility services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Board of Directors to advance the mandate of the utility and ensure responsible corporate practices.
- Supervise operations to ensure compliance with production efficiency, accuracy, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
- Lead operational capital planning, regulatory compliance, and reporting.
- Manage and maintain annual budgets, financial statements, and accounting aspects.
- Supervise customer billing, financial requirements, and customer service indices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with consultants and contractors.
- 3+ years of management and supervisory experience in a utility or related industry.
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Finance, or equivalent.
- Fully bilingual in French and English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Experience working with a Board of Directors and knowledge of electricity and power sectors.
- Familiarity with financial statements, budgets, and asset management planning.
- Experience with OEB electricity and accounting regulations.
