Job Summary

Canadian National Railway Company seeks a highly skilled Network and Telecom Specialist to join its Information and Technology (I&T) team. In this technical position, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of CN's network and telecom infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include designing, reviewing, and approving change controls; leading and executing installations, upgrades, and maintenance of networking infrastructure; and performing preventive maintenance tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining system availability and performance, collaborating with other teams to develop and implement process improvements, and providing 3rd level support to pager roster.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience in IT, including 3+ years of hands-on technical expertise in large corporate environments. You must also possess expertise in LAN/WAN technologies, IPAM, and Datacenter technologies, as well as knowledge of TCP/IP stack, IPv4, and related protocols.
