Job Title: Radiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologist to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a Radiologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients using medical imaging technologies.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in medicine, with a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry. They will have at least 5 years of experience in a related field and be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods
  • Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
  • Act as consultants to other physicians
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a hospital setting, specifically in an urban area. They will be required to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and be physically demanding. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.

Requirements
  • Strong background in medicine
  • At least 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
