Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced and licensed diesel truck technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of motor truck and trailer equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of parts and components.
- Identify and document warrantable repairs, and ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Work with minimal supervision, and use a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Inspect and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions, and perform repairs and replacements as needed.
- Specialize in repairing and troubleshooting major components, including engines, transmissions, and differentials.
- 5+ years of practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance.
- Must possess a valid Provincial License, such as Red Seal/310T.
- Must maintain membership/registration with respective Government Agencies.
- Current driver's license class D or class 3 with air brake certification required.
- Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade, including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions.
- Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components, OEM training courses preferred.
