Job Title: Chief Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at the Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Airport. As a key member of our hotel's operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and mechanical systems.
  • Lead a team of maintenance staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all hotel operations are running smoothly.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
