Director of Commercial Credit Operations

As a key member of our Commercial Banking team, you will be responsible for leading a team of adjudicators in the direction and supervision of credit applications, ensuring the quality and profitability of our Commercial Credit portfolio. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining an acceptable level of risk and ensuring the efficient management of assigned portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and supervise a team of adjudicators to ensure timely and accurate credit application processing.
- Contribute to the development of credit policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the Bank's strategic direction.
- Collaborate with Commercial Banking partners to negotiate credit terms and conditions, ensuring sound risk decisions.
- Provide coaching, direction, and guidance to direct reports on credit and other matters.
- Identify and contribute to driving continuous improvement at the Bank by identifying policy and process fixes and enhancements.
- Thorough understanding of Commercial Banking and the Bank's credit policies and procedures.
- Expert understanding of Bank lending policies and procedures, financial analysis, risk assessment techniques, credit structuring, collateral and security documentation and registration, collection, related legislation, and accounting practices.
- Strong leadership skills, demonstrated by the management of a team of adjudicators.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to converse effectively with line and corporate personnel.
- Bilingual (French/English) verbal and written is required for the role.
