Care Worker in Hospital Settings

As a Personal Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing floor and observational care duties under the direction of facility nursing staff
- Creating an environment that promotes optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications:
- Mandatory requirement: Continuing Care Assistant (CTA), Care Team Assistant (CCA) certificate, Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate OR Internationally Educated Nurse (IEN) currently enrolled in a bridging program and is in the process of attaining RN licensure or LPN licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing
- Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and hepatitis B
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years
- Current BCLS-HCP (HealthCare Provider)
- Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
- Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
