Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Magnum Cementing Services. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Logistics: Manage cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Safety: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, and adhere to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Air Brakes Endorsement, CPR Certificate, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding work environment.
