R.A.M CONTRACTING LTD is seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a carpenter. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials. They will also be responsible for building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
