We are seeking a skilled Lab Patient Technician to join our team in Brantford and Paris, ON. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in patient care and contribute to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet and interact with patients, ensuring a positive experience and collecting required information for specimen collection.
- Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings with precision and care.
- Collect and process special test samples, such as medical/legal drug screens and paternity tests, while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to inquiries and following up on requests in a timely manner.
- Enter patient data and requisition information into our system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare specimens for transportation and testing, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy experience and excellent communication skills.
- Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to strict standards of patient privacy.
